We understand the nature of subatomic particles and Neutron stars, why hasn’t science found the exact reason for hot flashes?

 

Do men have hot flashes? If so, why?

 

Approximately 20% of menopausal women do not experience hot flashes. Are any studies being done on these women?

 

Has ancient/classical literature ever referenced the phenomenon of hot flashing in women?

 

Does hormone replacement therapy (HRT) actually help women through menopause, or merely delay it?

 

Are women experiencing hot flashes and menopausal symptoms at a younger age than before?

 

Why does being underweight or overweight make hot flashes worse?

 

Why do hot flashes often occur just after awaking from a deep REM sleep? The body is not in stress mode, nor full of trigger foods.

 

Have any studies been done on the relationship between hot flashing and blood type?

 

What’s the difference between “hot flashes” and “night sweats”?

 

Why doesn’t hot flash happen when you could really use one?   i.e. shoveling the walk, de-icing the windshield, walking in freezing weather, sledding, skiing etc.

 

How many seconds, on average, does a hot flash last?

 

Does your core temperature rise during a flash?   If so, approximately, how much and is it measurable with a household thermometer?

 

Does red wine make hot flashing worse than white?   If so, why?

 

Who put the “men” in menopause?

 

A 2004 study at Wayne State University found a woman who had 39 hot flashes in a 24-hour period. (New York Times, Dec. 13, 2005)    Can you beat that?
